Lisa Wang is a Columbia-trained psychotherapist and psychiatrist in private practice in NY and NJ.
I’m currently only accepting new patients for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy consultations.
I offer a warm, holistic approach to mental health care. My two areas of focus are psychotherapy (for individuals or couples) and integrative psychiatry.
I start with a thorough evaluation to understand you and your background and what your treatment goals are. Based on those discussions, we will discuss what treatment modalities might help and align with your beliefs. That might include talk therapy, medications, lifestyle modifications, or other evidence-informed approaches. In talk therapy, I can help you understand yourself better and work on making meaningful change. When medications are recommended, I combine traditional psychiatric approaches with integrative approaches like nutritional supplementation, mind-body medicine, and healthy lifestyle habits.
If you are someone who has felt stuck and unable to improve what you’re experiencing with your own efforts, someone who is not quite feeling understood by other psychiatrists who don’t experientially understand your multifaceted identity, or someone who feels constrained by the usual binary of mental health treatment, I can help.
I believe in the inherent goodness and wisdom in all of us and I strive to work together with my patients to increasingly be able to access those parts.
